First off, happy new year! Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and that 2009 is off to a great start for you! There are some big things in store for Perlabra in the new year and I'm excited to be back in the grind and getting things rolling.
Secondly, I love robots. I woke up this morning to discover these Tokibot robot clocks which I would love to have standing on my desk at work! [More on channeling your inner geek here]
Daniela tipped me to the awesomness of ObamaBats this morning — a free collection of 24 high-quality dingbats featuring Barack Obama and various design elements!
If you're looking to pass some quality time, then I guarantee you'll have lots of fun over at Yvonne Cheng's project, Lost in Emoticons. Lost in Emoticons is an ongoing collection of instant message conversations between Yvonne (an LSU design grad working in NYC) and her Chinese mother, who sometimes has a difficult time communicating with her due to their language barrier. So glad that we've been introduced and that I have discovered a new daily reading addiction o.O !
I had a Foundations professor once in college that would use "yummy" as an adjective to describe our work. It was disturbing. The above video, however, is total yum factor for you! (via the Handmade Nation website)
Hi! Perlabra is updated often with my works in progress, ramblings (sometimes) and quick quips (most of the time) about graphic & motion design and things that inspire and motivate me to create. For a closer look at my work, please visit my portfolio site.
